V8 Supercar Championship 2008 - Phillip Island

The Phillip Island Grand Prix circuit will host the first of the two endurance races next year.
Phillip Island was chosen to stage one of the two premium endurance races next year. The traditional 500 kilometre endurance event will be run at the premier circuit prior to the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.
 “Phillip Island is undergoing constant refurbishment and upgrade including the latest extension of the pit lane facilities which make it even more attractive for our teams and fans,” Mr Cochrane said. “The decision to hold the endurance event at Phillip Island was one of long-term planning. Phillip Island is a motor sport venue that will be there for decades and we are looking to be there for that time."
